The 100K

My car hit 100,000 miles today. I was pulling into Starbucks this morning and I watched all the numbers turn at once. I was pretty excited about it so I thought I would share my good news with the blog world.

Henry the Hyundai Accent is still doing quite well. We're hoping for 100K more! (Yeah, right).

This is what a 2002 Hyundai Accent looks like in case you were wondering. Henry is much hotter than this one however.

Fun Fact: He's royal blue...which is why I named him after King Henry VIII.

I hope you have 100K more happy safe miles with Henry.

My 2003 Pontiac Vibe was 6 on Dec 31, 2008 and she has 90,000+ miles on her. She (I think my daughter named her but I forget her name)runs great (knock wood!!), although her check engine light is on and I think I need a new Catalytic converter. Fortunately my mechanic will look for a used one to install. I hope I have her for along time to come, especially since she's paid for!

I usually miss those photo ops. Congrats to you and Henry - and may your journeys together add up to a lot more.

Happy 100,000th Henry!
I like how you named your car. I don't have a name for my new 2006 KIA sportage. But, I did have a name for my old BLUE Volvo. We called her the "Craft". Don't know why...but, I still miss her to this day. I sigh a little every time I see an old Volvo go by! :)

My KIA is Silver...I'll have to think of something catchy to name her.
She has had extensive work done already for a new girl. First she had to have a new roof and paint job due to HAIL STORM DAMAGE (recd from a visit to PA) and then recently new front end and engine due to a DEER HIT in VA!

So, if you can think of something to reflect her adventurous life I'm open to suggestions! :) Lucky Lady? lol

@Joanie: I love Pontiacs.

@Vodka & Lorraine: Thanks for the good wishes!

@Lulda: You could just name the Kia "Silver" so that you can say "Hi ho, Silver!" That would be pretty cool.

@Chatty: I can't believe you never named your car. I feel that she's been around too long to name her now though.
