Can I Graduate?


Tomorrow afternoon I will officially become a Penn State alum. Let me just tell you....it feels good. I'm ready to move on and be a real person. Exciting, right?? In case any of you were wondering...

No, I don't have a job for September.

No, I don't have a job for the summer.

No, I won't have insurance.

No, I don't know if I'm going to live at home for the first year or not.

Yes, I have loans.

And don't worry about the student loans - they'll defer them for you if needed (I should know).

Congratulations!!

--and get job hunting, you'll find something! Now is the time when districts begin hiring, so get your applications out there and online. Get contacts/recommendations from friends who are teachers. The most important thing to do is to get serious (not that you aren't.)

--as for the loans, defer them baby!
